How does MAJC Adventures generate itineraries?
MAJC Adventures uses OpenAI's GPT models to create personalized travel plans based on your inputs — destination, dates, ages of travelers, budget, travel style, food preferences, and more. The more detail you provide, the more tailored your itinerary will be. Drive times are calculated using Google Maps in real time.
Can I use this for international travel?
Yes. MAJC Adventures works for both domestic and international destinations. For international trips, the AI will include relevant notes on travel logistics. Always verify visa requirements, entry rules, and travel advisories through official government sources before booking.
Are the prices, hours, and addresses accurate?
The AI generates itineraries based on its training data and your inputs. While it aims for accuracy, prices, hours of operation, and business details change frequently. Always confirm reservations, costs, and opening times directly with venues before your trip.
What is the difference between the plans?
The Free plan supports itineraries up to 4 days with a basic packing list and core age-based deal alerts. Explorer ($9/month) adds 14-day trips, trip saving, line-by-line itinerary editing, the day-of Today view, a detailed personalized packing list that learns what your family packs, and the full age-based deal library. Expedition ($19/month) adds everything in Explorer plus trips up to 30 days, trip sharing with group notes, booking imports from confirmation emails, prefilled booking searches on partner sites, national and state park reservation links, backup plans for hard-to-book venues, and our richest concierge itineraries. Pro ($49/month) is Expedition with a professional-scale allowance for travel agents. See the Plans page for a full comparison.
Can I edit my itinerary after it's generated?
Yes, on the Explorer and Expedition plans — line by line. Every line of your generated itinerary has its own controls: rewrite it yourself, ask the AI to change just that line, or remove it. Only the line you pick changes; the rest of your trip stays exactly as it was. If you remove a night's lodging, a placeholder holds the spot until you fill it, and informal plans like "staying with family" are accepted as real lodging.
How do I save a trip?
Trip saving is available on the Explorer and Expedition plans. After generating an itinerary, click "Save Trip" in the results header. All saved trips are accessible from the "My Trips" page in the navigation bar.
How does trip sharing work?
On the Expedition plan, open a saved trip and add your travel companions by email under "Share This Trip." Companions who are also on the Expedition plan can edit the shared trip — adding group notes and bookings. Companions on the Free or Explorer plans get view-only access: they can read the full itinerary, notes, and bookings from their "My Trips" page, but cannot change anything.
How do I add my bookings to a trip?
On the Expedition plan, open a saved trip and paste the text of a booking confirmation email — a flight, hotel, rental car, cruise, or activity — into the "Trip Bookings" box. The reservation details, dates, confirmation number, and cost are extracted automatically and added to the trip for everyone it's shared with.
Can I book flights and hotels through MAJC Adventures?
We don't process bookings directly. On the Expedition plan, every itinerary includes "Book This Trip" links — searches on momondo, Google Flights, Booking.com, trivago, Airbnb, and Vrbo already filled in with your destination, dates, and party size — plus reservation-portal links (Recreation.gov, NPS.gov, ReserveAmerica) for any national or state parks on your route. Bookings happen on, and are fulfilled by, the site you choose; some links are affiliate links that may earn us a commission at no extra cost to you. Any changes, cancellations, or issues are handled directly with that provider.

What are my payment options?
Three ways to pay, whichever fits how you travel: a one-time Trip Pass (Explorer $12 or Expedition $19 — full features for 30 days while you plan one trip, no subscription), monthly plans ($9 or $19/month, cancel anytime), or annual plans ($49 or $99/year — the best value if you plan more than one trip a year). Travel professionals should choose Pro ($49/month or $399/year). Pick a category on the Plans page to see the options in it.
Can I upgrade from Explorer to Expedition mid-month?
Yes — go to your Account page and click "Upgrade to Expedition." Stripe prorates the change automatically: the unused part of what you already paid for Explorer is credited against Expedition's price for the rest of your billing period, and only the difference is charged. You are never billed twice for the same days. Annual Explorer upgrades to annual Expedition the same way.
Is there a limit to how many itineraries I can generate?
The Free plan includes 10 itineraries total. Paid plans have a fair-use allowance per rolling 30 days — 40 on Explorer, 75 on Expedition, 400 on Pro — which is far more than any family's planning ever uses. The allowances exist so professional-volume planning lands on the Pro plan; if you're a travel agent or plan trips for clients, Pro is your plan.
How do I cancel my subscription?
You can cancel anytime from your Account page by clicking "Manage Subscription." This opens the Stripe customer portal where you can cancel, update your payment method, or download invoices. No phone call or email required. Your paid access continues through the end of the current billing period.
What happens when I cancel?
Your subscription ends at the end of your current billing period. You'll keep full paid access until then. After that, your account automatically reverts to the Free tier — you won't lose your account or any saved trips, but you won't be able to access paid features until you resubscribe.
Do you offer refunds?
Subscriptions are billed monthly and we do not offer refunds for partial billing periods. If you believe you were charged in error, contact us at miranda@majcadventures.com and we'll review your case. See our full Refund Policy.
How do I update my payment method?
Go to your Account page and click "Manage Subscription." The Stripe portal lets you update your card, view past invoices, and manage your billing details.
Is my payment information secure?
Yes. All payments are processed by Stripe, a PCI-compliant payment processor. MAJC Adventures never sees or stores your card number. Stripe handles all payment data directly on their secure servers.
Privacy & Data
What data do you collect?
We collect your email address, encrypted password, trip inputs, and saved itineraries. We do not sell your data or use it for advertising. See our full Privacy Policy for details.
How do I delete my account?
Go to your Account page and scroll to "Delete Account." This permanently removes your account and all saved trips. If you have an active subscription, please cancel it first via "Manage Subscription" to avoid future charges.
