We open the booking links before you do
A link is only shown after we have actually fetched the page, confirmed it answers, and confirmed it names the venue. Plausible-looking addresses that turn out to be a 404, a parked domain, or somebody else's site are dropped rather than handed to you at the moment you are trying to book.
The budget is a real number
Costs are computed in code from the actual itinerary — flights, gas by the mile, lodging, park fees, rental car, checked bags — not guessed by the model. If it does not fit, we say so instead of pretending.
The driving is real driving
Every leg is timed against Google's road network. A day that would mean eleven hours behind the wheel gets restructured or honestly refused, never quietly shipped.
Built for the ages in your car
A trip for a 4-year-old and a 14-year-old is not the same trip. Ages drive the pacing, the stops, the lodging, and the age-based discounts we surface.
A map that matches the plan
Every stop is geocoded and pinned, the route is drawn, and the drive list on the map is the same drive list in your days. They cannot disagree.
Reservations you would have missed
Timed entries, permits, and shuttle tickets are flagged where they appear and gathered into one "book these now" checklist, each with what to book, where to book it, and a verified link when we can confirm one. Where the venue states its own lead time and you have told us your dates, we work out the date to book by.

Early starts or slow mornings, four stops a day or one and an afternoon to enjoy it: Expedition also works out how you like a day to run and builds your days that way, kept separately for solo trips, adults-only trips and trips with the kids, because what you want is not the same on all three.

The Today view, for the road
On each day of the trip, one screen with just that day: tap a stop to navigate, the day's bookings, and a packing checklist you can tick off. Plans change — one tap replans the day around rain or a late start.

Already have a spreadsheet, a screenshot, or a PDF of dates and prices? Attach it and we read it — your dates, your must-dos, the tickets you already hold — and plan around what you have already worked out instead of asking for it again.
Everyone can see who is booking what
Every reservation on the checklist can be marked booked, given to a specific person, and given a due date — and "What's next" pulls what is still open across all your trips into one list.
Plan it together
Share the trip with everyone coming. Notes can be pinned to the day they matter, and pasting a confirmation email adds that booking for the whole group to see.
Move things exactly where you want them
Drag a stop to a different point in the day and the schedule re-times around it. Drag a drive on the map onto the road you would rather take, and the trip takes the new times and mileage.

Hiking stops carry a link to the trails around that exact spot, so you can see what is there before you set off.
